*TPCCA Announces Small Grants to Regional Organizations*
The Tannery Pond Community Center Association (TPCCA) is offering small grants to qualifying local and regional organizations to cover the cost of their use of Tannery Pond Community Center’s stage and auditorium. Because the Town of Johnsburg must now charge a fee for the use of the Tannery Pond Community Center in order to help defray expenses for the upkeep and utility costs of this building, small organizations that might wish to sponsor a debate, show a film, stage a play, hold a musical recital, or other event have found it difficult to raise the money to rent the space. In response to this the TPCCA, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by providing cultural, educational, recreational, and social opportunities for all ages, will consider paying the fee for these types of events for local and regional organizations who provide a completed, one page, grant application at least one month prior to the time they expect to hold the event. The TPCCA will respond to these applications within 10 days. Events that are not open to the public (or a broad spectrum of the public) or that are held for a single political candidate/party or a single sectarian cause would not qualify for this support.
Grant applications can be obtained at the Johnsburg Town Hall or downloaded from TPCCA’s website (www.tpcca.org ). Those wishing to support TPCCA’s efforts to fulfill its mission may send their tax deductible donations to TPCCA, P. O. Box 54, North Creek, NY 12853.
